Version 0620 – June 20, 2025

This release delivers critical fixes for wireless CarPlay functionality, introduces a new system reset option, and adds custom boot video support for more personalization.

Added

  • Introduced a hidden button on the warning sign screen to reset the Magic Box 3.0. Press and hold for 5–8 seconds to trigger a system reset.

  • Manual update option for boot animation video: place a .mp4 file named bootvideo (under 15 seconds) on the microSD card for automatic playback.

  • Updated Magic Store apps with the latest versions.

  • Updated CarPlay protocol to enhance vehicle compatibility.

Fixed

  • Fixed wireless CarPlay connection issue that caused instability for some users.

  • Fixed wireless CarPlay no sound issue.

  • Resolved issue where auto-boot into wireless CarPlay or Android Auto incorrectly displayed the warning prompt.


Version 0407 – April 7, 2025

This version enhances user navigation with accessibility updates, improves clarity in system settings, and introduces split-screen pairing functionality.

Added

  • Introduced a quick split-screen pairing app that lets users create app pairs for dual-screen multitasking.

  • Added Bluetooth feature descriptions on the Bluetooth page to clarify connection behavior: primary phone connects to MagicBox BT, while secondary devices (e.g., speakers) connect to QCOM.

  • Renamed several general settings for improved clarity and added info tooltips:

    • "Widget Mode" → "Streaming Debug Mode"

    • "Widget" → "Interactive Widget App"

    • "HDMI Special Mode" → "HDMI Extend Mode"

Fixed

  • Improved sensitivity and responsiveness of the floating accessibility button.

  • Floating accessibility button now defaults to a small icon for less screen obstruction.

  • Fixed 4G icon status display to correctly show "On" when active.
